Bosnia and Herzegovina on the Balkan Peninsula has numerous attractions to offer: Culture vultures head for a campsite near the capital Sarajevo and stroll through the historic centre of Baščaršija. The numerous mosques give the old town an oriental feel. Višegrad in the east of the country is known for the Drina Bridge, built in the 1570s. It spans the river over 180 metres and eleven arches. Although the coast of Bosnia and Herzegovina is only 22 kilometres long, it offers beautiful beaches. The Neum Corridor is an insider tip for bathers and families. As the surrounding mountains protect the coast, the water is calm. Neum also offers a wide range of water sports, from boating and surfing to jet skiing.
