In addition to the use of our website for purely informational purposes, we offer various services that you can use if you are interested. In order to do so, you generally have to provide additional personal data that we use to provide the respective service.
Teilweise bedienen wir uns zur Verarbeitung Ihrer Daten externer Dienstleister. Diese wurden von uns sorgfältig ausgewählt und vertraglich an die aktuellen Datenschutzgesetze gebunden.
If our service providers or partners are based in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), there is either an adequate decision or we have secured ourselves with appropriate guarantees that the data processing complies with the principles of the GDPR. We will inform you about the respective guarantees in the description of the offer.
4. Provision of the website and creation of logfiles
4.1. Description and scope of data processing
Each time our website is accessed, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer.
The following data is collected:
- Information about the browser type and version used
- The user's operating system
- The user's internet service provider
- The anonymized IP address of the user
- Date and time of access
- The requested document from our system
- Websites from which the user's system accesses our website (user agent string)
- Device type (mobile variant)
The data is stored in the log files of our system. The user's IP addresses are anonymized and can therefore no longer be assigned to a user. This does not affect other data that allows the data to be assigned to a user. This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user.
4.2. Data recipient
This website is hosted externally. The personal data collected on this website (e.g. IP addresses, customer data, etc.) is stored on the hoster's servers (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL).
Furthermore, we use the imgix service from Zebrafish (Zebrafish Labs, Inc., 423 Tehama St # 1, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA) as a so-called CDN provider (Content Delivery Network) for faster and data protection-friendly loading and display of content.
External hosting and content delivery are carried out for the purpose of contract fulfillment (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our offers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
Personal data may be transferred to the USA. Regarding the transfer of personal data to the USA, there is an adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework of the EU Commission within the meaning of Art. 45 GDPR (see https://commission.europa.eu/document/fa09cbad-dd7d-4684-ae60-be03fcb0fddf\\_en). imgix and Amazon Web Services Inc. are certified as part of the adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework of the EU Commission, so that the usual level of protection of the GDPR applies to the transfer.
We have also integrated map material from OpenStreetMap. OpenStreetMap is an open-source project of the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which collects freely usable geodata and stores it in a database for free use. To prevent a direct connection to the OpenStreetMap servers or other service providers outside the ADAC, the map material is retrieved via an ADAC proxy server. When you visit a website that contains a map display, your above-mentioned data will only be processed by the ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V., Hansastraße 19, 80686 Munich) and only to the extent that is necessary for compelling technical reasons. The data is only processed once for the duration of use and is not stored.
The integration of the map displays is based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. It is done to make our website more user-friendly and interesting. This is also our legitimate interest. You can prevent any data transfer in connection with the integration of content by deactivating JavaScript in your browser. In this case, however, you will only be able to use our website to a limited extent.
4.3. Legal basis of the data processing

- marketing purposes, and
- the storage of our correspondence with you.
4.4. Purpose of the data processing
The temporary storage of the anonymized IP address by the system is necessary to enable the website to be delivered to the user's computer. For this purpose, the anonymized IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session.
4.5. Duration of the storage
Any personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.
