Denmark is one of the most popular camping countries in the world. This is partly due to the distinctive coastal landscape and partly due to the great conditions at the campsites. So it's no wonder that even the large capital Copenhagen has some great campsites to offer. Other large cities such as Aarhus, Aalborg, Odense and Esbjerg also have a large number of excellent and popular campsites. Nordic nature combines with idyllic Scandinavian architecture to create a soothing mix. The city of Sønderborg, which is very close to the border with Germany, is also very popular.
