For animal lovers: camping with alpacas

The cute alpacas, which actually come from the South American Andes, have already won the hearts of many people. When camping with an alpaca farm, holidaymakers have the opportunity to visit and get to know the trusting animals.

The fascination of these fluffy animals can already be experienced in many places when camping with an alpaca farm. This is possible, for example, in the Dutch province of Drenthe, which is known for its heathlands and dense forests and dunes in the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. There are also campsites with species-appropriate alpaca enclosures on Lake Constance in the border triangle of Switzerland, Austria and Germany. A hike with animals through the Harz Mountains is a special experience. Discovering the Thuringian Forest with alpacas is just as much fun.

There are also campsites in Austria that provide a habitat for alpacas. Whether in Styria, Upper Austria or elsewhere, a stay at a campsite will delight young and old alike. If you go on a guided hike with the cute animals, children are motivated to join you. Being together with the animals has a positive effect on body and mind: Studies have shown that it lowers the heart rate: A holiday on a campsite with an alpaca farm helps to relax. You can also buy products made from alpaca wool at many campsites. Warm gloves, hats and jumpers are a popular souvenir from a holiday in the fresh air.
