Situated on the edge of the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Alpine campsite, which is open all year round, is an Eldorado for summer and winter holidays. A swimming pool provides refreshment during the warmer months. The barbecue area and cosy lounge are great places to meet up. There is also a small bistro on the cosy site with a terrace surrounded by greenery.
Around 2 km from the centre of picturesque Meiringen in the Bernese Oberland, Alpencamping offers the perfect conditions for a holiday in the Swiss mountains. Nestled in the picturesque Haslital valley, the 1.3-hectare campsite offers 47 pitches in a family atmosphere. Some pitches not only have electricity, but also fresh water and waste water connections. Holidaymakers can use WLAN free of charge throughout the site. The tranquil Alpine campsite welcomes sports enthusiasts and families all year round. If you don't want to bring your own tent or caravan, you have the option of renting a bungalow or caravan. There's a good atmosphere at the compact Alpencamping at any time of year. This is helped by the public barbecue area, where guests can meet up to barbecue together. During the cold season, the cosy lounge is a popular place to be. A snack bar provides culinary delights. There is also a small kiosk where you can buy everyday necessities. The campsite's amenities for winter guests also include a free ski bus and a ski boot dryer. In summer, families can enjoy the playground in the centre of the campsite. There is also an outdoor pool for cooling off.
Right on the doorstep, guests have countless opportunities for summer and winter activities such as hiking, cycling, skiing and cross-country skiing. The nearby Meiringen-Hasliberg mountain railways provide access to 60 kilometres of magnificent pistes at all levels of difficulty. The youngest guests can make their first turns in the snow in the Skihäsliland practice area. There are also 25 kilometres of winter hiking trails and romantic toboggan runs in a magnificent winter landscape. In summer, hiking destinations such as the romantic Aare Gorge beckon. The tour through the narrow valley on wooden footbridges takes around 40 minutes. The "Ballenberg Open-Air Museum" in Hofstetten bei Brienz, 9 kilometres from the campsite, offers interesting insights into the culture and traditions of the region. Here you can see historic farmhouses from various parts of Switzerland and numerous animals. There are also demonstrations of traditional crafts such as rope-making, basket-making and blacksmithing.
