On the shores of the picturesque Vrana Lake in a pine forest, Camp Vransko Lake awaits nature-loving travellers. The holiday resort is located in the enchanting Vransko-Jezero National Park, which is a paradise for hiking, fishing and admiring wildlife with its hidden paths, bird reserve and rich fish stocks. For visitors looking for a beach holiday by the sea, there are several sandy and pebble beaches in the surrounding area.
The wooded campsite between the historic towns of Zadar and Šibenik on the Dalmatian coast is divided into 180 plots for caravans. There is a choice of unparcelled standard pitches ranging in size from 80 to 100 square metres with electricity, which are located next to the entrance under shady trees. The Comfort pitches measure 100 square metres and are separated from each other by low stone walls. Some Premium pitches of the same size are located directly on the lakeshore and also have a water supply, a drainage system for waste water and cassette toilets. In the centre of the standard area is the sanitary facility, which was renovated in 2017 with modern showers, toilets and barrier-free facilities. Around the wash house there are green areas with barbecue areas where guests can socialise with other families over a barbecue. At Camp Vransko Lake, the focus is on enjoying free time in unspoilt nature. Its exceptionally peaceful atmosphere is characterised by the rustling of the wind in the leaves, the gentle lapping of the water and the sounds of wildlife. At the same time, there is no shortage of exercise in the fresh air: in the shade of the forest, sports fields offer an excellent opportunity for a match of tennis, football, basketball or shot put. Children also enjoy a safe environment for playing hide-and-seek among the pine trees and romping around in the playground.
Camp Vransko Lake rents out kayaks and rowing boats for active holidaymakers to conquer the deep blue waters. You can also enjoy windsurfing on the surface of the water. The special variety of fish makes the Vrana interesting for amateur anglers. Due to its close proximity to the Adriatic Sea, it has a low salt content and is therefore home to both freshwater and marine life, including pike, carp, mullet and catfish. On land, explorers can follow the numerous cycling and hiking routes around the entire lake, to the coast or into the surrounding forests. Birdwatchers can stroll along the ornithological trail over wooden footbridges through marshes and wetlands with waving reed beds. Viewing platforms offer great views of protected species such as the cormorant, purple heron and great egret.
