The dog-friendly Arc en Ciel campsite in Vallon-Pont-d'Arc in the French province of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is located directly on the River Ardèche and surrounded by idyllic countryside. Parcelled-out pitches are spread across the campsite's unspoilt grounds, where trees and hedges provide plenty of privacy. Families, friends and couples love coming to this lively campsite to enjoy guided boat and canoe trips or horse riding. The highlight is the large pool with diving board and children's paddling pool.

Nearby there is a distillery (closed in July and August). During the low season, unfavorable wind conditions may cause odor issues at surrounding campsites. In the village of Salavas, outdoor music events take place in July and August, with an official end time set at 0:30 a.m.
