Holidaymakers can experience camping in harmony with nature on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bay of Gargano at Camping Baia San Nicola in Italy.
The sound of the sea can be heard from the pitches at Camping Baia San Nicola. After all, it is located on a 600 metre long bay in Apulia, Italy. Modern rental accommodation and large pitches invite you to camp under old pine trees. The site is partly laid out in terraces. With its beautiful sandy beach, the campsite is ideal for a relaxing holiday by the sea. Children can enjoy swimming and building castles on the shallow shore. As there is a supermarket and a fruit and vegetable shop on site, culinary well-being is taken care of. Snacks are available at the snack bar and there are also barbecue areas. The little ones love the playground and in the evenings you can meet up in the communal room with TV. Holidaymakers can use WLAN free of charge on the campsite. Photos of the campsite are sent home directly from the pitch. Table tennis is a fun activity. Camping Baia San Nicola is also a paradise for water sports enthusiasts: There is a surfing and sailing school on site. Courses for beginners and advanced surfers are offered here. It is also possible to hire equipment.
There is an interesting story to tell about the romantic fishing village of Peschici. The inhabitants took part in a lottery draw together and won 32 million euros. There is no sign of this on a tour of the village: The village has retained its original ambience. The campsite offers a free shuttle service to the village. It is not far from Peschici to the marvellous mountains of Apulia. A hike is a perfect alternative programme to splashing around in the sea or water sports. The Riserva naturale Sfilzi nature reserve is one of the favourite destinations for hikes. If you want to discover the magnificent coastline from the water, book a round trip. The boats depart from Peschici, among other places, and travel to the romantic Tremiti Islands. They often dock in San Nicola, where you can see the Badaili Castle, among other things. Lake Umbra, 27 kilometres from the campsite, is another popular excursion destination. It is located in the Gargano National Park, which is known for its unique flora. Wild orchids, mighty beeches and maple trees characterise the landscape. The natural paradise is home to mouflons, squirrels, eagle owls and peregrine falcons. More than a dozen hiking trails invite you to explore the nature park on foot.
Camping Baia San Nicola is perfect for holidaymakers who like to spend relaxing holidays on the beach. The family-run campsite is home to a surfing and sailing school. There are numerous leisure activities for the whole family. Around the campsite, holidaymakers can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Gargano National Park, which is ideal for hiking.
