As an experienced camper, we expected more
Hello, we spent 2 weeks at the Begur campsite. There were many positive points, but also some negative ones. Among them are the unpaved paths. The dust that arises when passing by is very burdensome. Furthermore, the partly deep sand on the plots is very disturbing. On the day of departure, the va… More

Beautiful campsite with many large trees
The staff were very friendly. Cleaning, organizing, sweeping, etc. was always done - which we greatly appreciated. We liked the many shade-providing trees. The small playhouse with the incredibly warm-hearted childcare workers was great too. There were always various activities daily (from painting… More

If you are looking for a campsite close to nature on the Costa Brava, then Camping Begur is the place for you. Surrounded by forest, the campsite has been awarded the Biosphere Tourism certificate.
Camping Begur is proud to be the first campsite in Europe to receive the Biosphere Tourism Award. Holidaymakers can look forward to a stay in harmony with nature. The extensive grounds are shaded by holm oaks, pine and acacia trees. Most of the pitches are in the forest. The tree population is impressive with more than 3,400 trees. Free WLAN, electricity, waste water and fresh water connections are available on the comfort pitches. The rental accommodation is comfortably equipped: The choice ranges from tent accommodation to studios and bungalows to mobile homes. In summer, the campsite offers a varied entertainment programme. New friendships are quickly made around the campfire or at music evenings. Self-catering guests are welcome to prepare meals on the barbecue areas dotted around the campsite. There is a supermarket with a wide range of products right by the entrance. Sporty guests will find good training conditions in the fitness centre. There is also a multifunctional outdoor sports ground. Children are also well catered for: they can play in the playground and take part in workshops in the summer. Gourmets can look forward to wine tastings, which take place regularly at the campsite. When the weather is fine, the outdoor pool is a favourite meeting place.
Camping Begur is just 1.5 kilometres from the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava. The Platja del Racó offers peaceful bathing fun on a 400 metre long stretch of coastline. Holidaymakers with children are drawn to Platja de Sa Riera, where there is a sandy beach. Here, a diving school offers courses and excursions into the underwater world. The Costa Brava has a total coastline of 158 kilometres. Deep green pine groves in the hinterland form a charming contrast to the crystal-clear water. Begur also has a lot to offer from a cultural perspective. Although the medieval castle was partially destroyed in 1920, it is now the town's landmark. The defence towers give an idea of the former extent of the complex. The colonial houses are also worth seeing. Girona, around 50 kilometres from Begur campsite, is an ideal destination for a day trip. The capital of the province of the same name is surrounded by imposing city walls. Santa Maria Cathedral is one of the most imposing buildings in the entire holiday region. The baroque west façade can be reached via an impressive staircase. Inside, visitors can admire the longest Gothic nave in the world. Begur Camping is located around 1.5 km from the centre of Begur. In the morning, birdsong wakes holidaymakers on the pitches, most of which are shaded by tall trees. With a pool, fitness centre and playgrounds, the campsite offers a varied leisure programme for the whole family.
