The Virgin Rock is located directly in front of the town in the middle of the Atlantic. It is the landmark of Biarritz and the white statue of the Virgin Mary is enthroned on it. A stroll along the promenade is particularly worthwhile at sunset, when the seaside resort is bathed in red and orange colours.
