Campofelice Camping Village is an idyllic campsite in the Swiss Alps.
Surrounded by mountains and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Maggiore, it is the perfect holiday destination for families and couples. The camping village has a variety of pitches as well as a swimming pool, a children's playground, a restaurant and a mini-market. The highlight is the 400 metre long private beach. Campers can also explore the surrounding area on hikes, bike tours or boat trips. Locarno, home to the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Sasso, the most important place of pilgrimage in Italian-speaking Switzerland, is just a few minutes away. Ascona, the pearl of Lake Maggiore, is also within easy reach.
This campground, extremely comfortable in all aspects, is a paradise for children (and adults alike). Diverse, mostly free play, sports, and entertainment options contribute to a great holiday atmosphere.

Site
Flat meadow terrain, divided by dense, leafy, high rows of trees, in some areas also by low hedges. Located on the banks of the Verzasca River, which flows into the lake here. Views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
Access to water
Approximately 500 m long and up to 10 m wide sandy beach reaching into the river mouth. There is a paved shoreline area with an artificial beach and several bathing stairs. Inflatable play area in the water (including diving tower and bouncy castles). Adjacent to the lake is a 350 m long sunbathing area arranged in two levels. Another sunbathing area by the river.
Special features on the campsite
Persons under 18 are only admitted when accompanied by parents. Dogs are not allowed on the premises. Separate parking is only available for rental accommodation area.
Note
Nearby is the small Magadino airfield. Expect occasional noise disturbances from air traffic in this area.

Great family holidays with plenty of options
We were at Campofelice for the first time during the peak season. It was definitely busy, but it spread out well. We always found a spot on the beach or by the pool. There are many options at the campsite or in the surrounding area. (Ascona, bowling, tobogganing, etc.)

Great for families with children
Lots of leisure activities, quiet at the campsite. Unfortunately quite loud by the pool and lake due to children’s screams, unfortunately very tight pitches, no division with privacy screens or similar.

Located on the north-eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, the 5-star Campofelice Camping Village is ideal for families with children and active holidaymakers. Just a few kilometres from the town of Locarno, the holiday resort boasts its own beach, a harbour and a wide range of restaurants.
Living with a lake view in the south of Switzerland
Pure sunshine or a shady spot under the canopy of trees: holidaymakers are free to choose which pitch they prefer. There are 611 guest pitches for caravans and motorhomes in the Campofelice Camping Village, all of which have WLAN and an electricity connection. Drinking water and waste water connections are also standard on around 400 of the pitches, which are between 90 m² and 120 m² in size. Those travelling without a caravan or tent are welcome to rent a caravan on site or stay in one of the cosy bungalows. The campsite is ideal for those allergic to dogs, as dogs are not permitted at Campofelice Camping Village in the Swiss municipality of Tenero. There is also no shortage of services and leisure facilities. The supermarket, for example, is open every day and offers a wide range of goods. Anyone who wants to leave the kitchen cold can simply order a snack at the Robin Bistrot-Café. The homemade ice cream specialities are just as popular as the hot snacks. If you fancy a little more, we recommend the restaurant. Italian specialities are on the menu here. For all active holidaymakers, the Beach Office is the first port of call. Stand-up paddle equipment (SUP) and canoes as well as inflatable and pedal boats can be hired here. There are also several sports fields in the area, including a beach volleyball court, a mini golf course and football pitches.

The Campofelice Camping Village is a lively and informal place. The numerous fitness courses offered in the outdoor area are a little sweaty, but beneficial. The children's entertainment programme is creative, exciting and above all entertaining, and the large, airy pavilion is used for all kinds of leisure activities such as circus shows or evening theme parties. For art lovers and those who want to do a bit of shopping, a trip to the city of Locarno is well worthwhile. Around half a dozen art galleries can be found in this attractive town. Nature lovers will love the Falconeria Locarno falconry park, while keen golfers can improve their handicap on the nearby course at the Golf Club Patriziale Ascona.
