At Camping Chapella, nature lovers and active holidaymakers spend an unforgettable stay in the mountains of the Engadin. The unique natural surroundings and family atmosphere are reasons why guests like to book pitches here.
Anyone longing to relax in the Swiss mountains will find their paradise at Camping Chapella in the Engadin. It is located in the unique landscape of the Swiss National Park. From June to October, holidaymakers can reach the region's natural treasures in a nostalgic way: the Express Parc Naziunel stops in S-chanf. Holidaymakers love travelling to Zuoz, where the most beautiful houses in the Engadin are located. The old Punt da Crap stone bridge is also on the route. The terminus is in Varusch, the gateway to the national park. With a bit of luck, you might spot eagles, ibex and marmots during your hike. The forests surrounding Camping Chapella also provide a habitat for rare animals. The River Inn babbles past right next to the campsite. The pitches on the lower pitch are right next to the water.
Camping Chapella awaits its guests in the tranquil village of Chapella, a romantic mountain village. It is around 80 km from Chur and 280 km from Munich. Those wishing to travel by public transport can do so on the Rhaetian Railway. The village was named after the chapel. The first mention of a sacred building at this location dates back to 1209. A visit to the church, whose full name is the Church of St Ulrich and St Nicholas, is well worthwhile: the stone building with its defiant tower can be seen from afar. The neighbouring village of Susauna has also retained its original flair. It has exactly nine houses. If you want to spend a day at the campsite, you can relax on the banks of the Inn or borrow books from the small library. There is free WLAN on the upper pitch. This is also where the playground is located, which is a favourite meeting place for families. Located in the forest, the adventure playground has plenty to offer for older and younger children. There is also a kiosk in this area where you can buy snacks. A regional bakery delivers bread rolls and other breakfast ingredients in the morning if ordered in advance. The Verduta restaurant, which serves Grisons specialities, is around 10 minutes' walk away. Fans of Italian cuisine can also order from a nearby pizzeria, which delivers to the campsite.
Camping Chapella is surrounded by dense forests and the majestic peaks of the Engadin. Situated directly on the Inn, the campsite is an ideal starting point for tours into the Swiss National Park.
