Beautifully located family camping, but with shortcomings
The campsite is beautifully located and also offers a lot for families with children. The pitches themselves are also sufficiently large. However, one should avoid shopping at the campsite's supermarket. The prices there are totally outrageous (e.g., 1 liter of UHT milk for 2.49 EUR). The same unfor… More

Surrounded by dense woodland, where squirrels play in the trees and birdsong rings through the air, Camping De Wildhoeve impresses with its family-friendly and service-orientated concept. The attention to detail can be felt in many areas, from the creatively designed sanitary facilities for children to the large leisure area with pool, swimming pond and playground.
Many amenities characterise Camping De Wildhoeve in the Netherlands. The colourful sanitary facilities are particularly popular with families with younger children. The children will have just as much fun brushing their teeth as playing in the water playground, as the bathrooms have a forest theme and are decorated with artificial tree trunks, rocks and animal sculptures, for example. Thanks to the barrier-free sanitary facilities, nothing stands in the way of a holiday at the campsite with a pushchair, wheelchair or walking frame. Children can let off steam, play badminton and run around on the site, as cars only have access to the family-friendly holiday area on arrival and departure. The highlight of the 12-hectare campsite is the leisure area in the south-western part of the site. Here you will find the subtropical indoor swimming pool with slides and children's paddling pool as well as the bathing area with the outdoor water playground. All ball sports enthusiasts can play an exciting match on the tennis court, and all two-wheel specialists can prove their skills on the cyclo-cross track. From the end of March to the end of September, holidaymakers have the opportunity to spend their days off at Camping De Wildhoeve. The 320 parcelled pitches have electricity, fresh water and waste water connections, and there's no need to do without WLAN here either. There is a supermarket just a short walk from the mobile home, where fresh bread rolls are available daily. The on-site restaurant also serves delicious lunchtime and evening meals.
Together with the friendly entertainment team, young and young-at-heart guests can set off on interesting nature discoveries and learn interesting facts about the forests and their inhabitants in a fun way. The regular guided cycle tours through the vast forest landscape are also very popular. If you don't have a bike with you, you can easily hire one from reception. Both children's and adult bikes and child seats are available. Of course, nothing stands in the way of individual excursions from Camping De Wildhoeve. For example, a trip to the municipality of Epe, just 7 kilometres north-east of the campsite, is well worthwhile. A visit to Kasteel de Cannenburgh, a stately home with historic furnishings, is a must.
