The Camping du Lion d'Angers welcomes its guests in the heart of the Loire Valley, right by the River Oudon. ### Quiet campsite by the river The Camping du Lion d'Angers is surrounded by trees in the commune of Anjou Bleu. A few old deciduous trees break up the flat meadows and provide shade on the pitches. There are also comfortable mobile homes to rent. Anglers cast their rods directly on the campsite. As there is a canoe hire service at the campsite, holidaymakers can set off on water excursions directly from the site. Holiday experiences are shared in the recreation room, where there is a TV and board games. Sporty guests can meet up on the volleyball and badminton courts ### Attractions around the campsite for nature and culture lovers Holidaymakers can walk from the campsite to the centre of Le Lion-d'Angers, just over 1 km away. The Saint-Martin church is well worth a visit: built in the 11th century, the church is adorned with colourful frescoes. The Chateau de la Loire in La Chapelle-sur-Oudon is 16 kilometres away. Regular events are organised here in summer. The capital of the Maine-et-Loire region is also worth a visit: with its mighty defence towers, Angers Castle is one of the most impressive medieval fortifications in Europe. The half-timbered buildings in the La Doute neighbourhood also add to the charm of the city. The Isle Briand Park, just 100 metres from the campsite, is ideal for walking and playing.
