Gastronomic offers
Surrounded by lush coniferous forests and with access to the picturesque Fichtelsee lake, Camping Fichtelsee is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature. Particularly large pitches and many excursion destinations ensure a comfortable stay for both families and couples.
The cosy campsite covers an area of around two hectares and offers 120, mostly parcelled-out pitches for holidaymakers. With pitches ranging in size from 80-150 square metres, you can enjoy maximum space and privacy. Most pitches have electricity, some also have a TV connection. The site is extensively covered with WLAN, which guests can use as an option. Fresh pastries are delivered every morning by the local bakery. There are also six restaurants within a ten-minute walk. At an altitude of over 800 metres, Camping Fichtelsee is Northern Bavaria's highest campsite. Especially in summer, the lake invites you to linger on the sunbathing lawns. The facilities for families with children range from a toddler area and water trampoline to a volleyball court and a slide. Children can also let off steam in the playground. The area around the campsite is particularly popular with hikers. The Fichtelgebirge Nature Park has many hiking routes to the Ochsenkopf or the Felsenmeer with wonderful views of the highest mountains in Franconia. In winter, the region is ideal for a ski tour. Bayreuth, just 30 kilometres away, has plenty to offer culture vultures, e.g. the historic festival theatre or the Hermitage.
