Camping Hermitage is situated on a terraced hillside above the spa town of Merano/Meran in South Tyrol (Italy), surrounded by nature and offering stunning views of the town and the mountain landscape. Divided by deciduous trees, the spacious site has pitches with water, waste water and electricity connections throughout. Some pitches also have a television connection. WLAN use is also included. Those who value privacy can book a private bathroom with shower, washbasin, WC and bidet. Various leisure facilities around the campsite provide variety at any time of year. The free outdoor pool with a large sunbathing lawn invites you to refresh yourself in the warm summer months. If the weather doesn't play ball, guests can use the indoor pool at the neighbouring hotel for a small fee, as well as the Finnish sauna. A children's playground, table tennis tables, a children's pool and a playroom make the campsite a favourite destination for families. Dogs are also very welcome on the site. An Italian restaurant and the associated pizzeria, which also offers its specialities to take away, cater for your physical well-being. Half board, breakfast or dinner can be booked for the entire duration of your stay. And if you place your order at reception in the evening, fresh bread rolls, milk and other groceries are delivered for breakfast.

As the starting point for various hiking and cycling trails, the campsite is particularly suitable for active holidaymakers. An e-bike hire service provides the necessary equipment. Just 300 metres away is the valley station of a cable car that leads to the Merano 2000 recreation area. Here, at an altitude of 2000 metres, there is a toboggan run and a petting zoo. Also within walking distance is Trauttmansdorff Castle with its picturesque gardens, which offer colourful insights into native and exotic plant worlds in around 80 themed gardens. The nearby bus stop is also within easy reach of the centre of Merano, which is around 3.5 km away. In the town centre, visitors can visit sights such as the parish church of St. Nicholas and the Stone Footbridge, as well as other restaurants and shopping facilities. Back at the campsite, guests can relax in a peaceful atmosphere and enjoy the marvellous view with family or friends.
