Surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Thy National Park in Denmark, the family-friendly Krik Vig Camping offers an outdoor play paradise and well-equipped leisure areas. Only a short walk separates the well-kept grounds from the refreshing North Sea. Here guests will find perfect conditions for surfing. Visitors are also welcome to use the canoe hire service and discover the beautiful natural surroundings from the water.
If you are looking for a family-friendly holiday resort in the north of Denmark, Krik Vig Camping in Vestervig is the place for you. The 6.5-hectare site is located in the middle of the natural paradise of Thy and borders the river Kastet Å, which is ideal for fishing and canoeing. The Limfjord is around 250 metres away and the North Sea coast is around 1.1 km away. The 300 pitches are sheltered from the wind by hedges and the nearby forest. Self-catering guests are welcome to use the shop, where they can buy fresh bread, milk and other groceries. There is also a cafeteria offering delicious snacks to take away or eat in the cosy restaurant. Krik Vig Camping is an Eldorado for the little ones. In addition to slides and swings, the playground also has climbing frames and a large bouncy cushion. Older children and adults can let off steam right next door on the beach volleyball, handball and football pitches. The whole family can also enjoy the mini golf course. If the weather doesn't play ball, families can meet up in the leisure rooms. Here they can watch TV together, have fun at the slot machines or play a game of cards with other guests. There is also a table tennis table. Krik Vig Camping is also known as an Eldorado for water sports enthusiasts. Just 250 metres from the campsite is a popular spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing on the Limfjord.
If you want to go fishing on holiday in the north of Denmark, the fishing paradise around the campsite is just the place for you. You can take a boat directly from Krik Vig Camping into the fjord. There are also numerous trout ponds nearby that guarantee fishing success. The 35-minute drive to the Hanstholm game reserve is also worthwhile. On a tour, nature lovers can climb the observation towers and discover otters and rare birds such as golden plovers, short-eared owls and cranes in the dune and heathland landscape. The 80 km long west coast cycle and hiking trail from Agger to Bulbjerg also passes very close to the campsite. Most of the route runs directly along the coast and passes through deep forests and fascinating dune landscapes.
