An outdoor pool, a mini farm and an agility course for dogs are some of the highlights at Camping La Fage in the French Dordogne.
Camping La Fage has a heart for animals: Dogs are welcome at the campsite and will find something to do on the agility course. The mini farm is also an animal-friendly place for families to visit. The donkeys, sheep and other animals can be fed. The campsite in La Chapelle-Auberell in Périgord Nord is located on a wooded, flower-filled site. There is a choice of spacious pitches and mobile homes. One of the favourite facilities is the water area: the outdoor pool can be covered in bad weather. There are numerous play facilities for children on the campsite. A varied leisure programme is offered in summer, ranging from the children's club to guided canoe tours.
When holidaymakers are not letting off steam on the volleyball, badminton or multi-functional sports court or playing pétanque on the campsite, they enjoy going on excursions. Camping and culture can be perfectly combined in the neighbouring towns. Salat-la-Canada, around 20 kilometres away, is like an open-air museum: there are more than 65 monuments to admire in the medieval town. The famous Lascaux caves are less than 8 kilometres from the campsite. You can visit replicas of the cave paintings, which provide an interesting insight into life many thousands of years ago.
