La Roubine campsite is located on the banks of the River Ardèche in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. Surrounded by a rural idyll with shady acacia trees, holidaymakers can enjoy an unforgettable family holiday with swimming fun and walks along the water. Dogs are also very welcome at this small campsite, which offers its guests the convenience of a shady beach on the dammed Ardèche.
There are just 97 pitches for campers and motorhomes spread over an area of around 7 hectares. On the flat, partly natural meadow on the banks of the Ardèche, hedges border the individual pitches, ensuring plenty of privacy for a holiday with the whole family. The creative entertainment programme immediately involves children, who quickly make friends. Teenagers can socialise with their peers from all over the world while playing tennis or beach volleyball. The mini golf course is also very popular with families. In addition, a playground and a children's pool in the bathing area are particularly popular with younger guests. The spacious outdoor pool with water slides is not the only way to cool off on site: Directly from La Roubine campsite, bathers have access to a gently sloping, shady beach. If you want to walk along the banks of the Ardèche to the impressive natural stone bridge Pont d'Arc, you can hike the 7-kilometre route or hire an e-bike at Camping Sandaya La Roubine. Dog owners are also welcome at the campsite: The tall acacia groves around La Roubine are ideal for long walks. A separate dog shower ensures that dogs can cool off on hot summer days and keep their paws clean.
The village of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is just 2 kilometres from the campsite. Thanks to its central location in the middle of the Côtes du Vivarais wine-growing region, wine production has played an important role here for centuries. Visitors can look over the winemakers' shoulders on excursions to the vineyards or purchase wines and regional delicacies at the Vallon-Pont-d'Arc market: Lavender products, chestnut purée, honey and much more are produced in the surrounding area. The Pont d'Arc stone arch is located near Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. This impressive natural monument is the entrance to the Gorges de l'Ardèche. Cyclists and motorcyclists can experience the majestic ambience on the panoramic road above the gorge - down in the valley, kayakers and canoeists paddle through the towering cliffs. For decades, a canoe tour has been the most popular and adventurous way to explore the gorges.
