Camping les Cinq Châteaux is located on the banks of the Dordogne in the Périgord noir, in the centre of the "Valley of the Five Castles" in the heart of France. Here you can enjoy nature while admiring the many sights for which the region is famous.
Camping les Cinq Châteaux in Vézac is nestled in the historic valley of the five castles on the banks of the Dordogne. The five castles are clearly visible from the campsite. The site has spacious pitches and comfortable rental accommodation offering optimum comfort. Guests can use the snack bar or the bread roll service to avoid having to cook for themselves. There is a pool and paddling pool to cool off in, while children can let off steam in the playground or take a pony ride.
The best way to explore the area around the campsite is by bike. Towering high above the banks of the Dordogne are five fortified castles with thick stone walls. The 12th-century Château de Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is an impressive sight, with replicas of medieval attack machines on its bastion. The replica of the world-famous Lascaux Caves in Montignac is also well worth a visit. If you like, you can go canoeing on the Dordogne or take advantage of the well-signposted network of hiking trails that criss-cross the entire region.
