Camping Municipal de Mâcon

Surrounded by the famous cities of Geneva, Lyon and Dijon, Camping Municipal de Mâcon boasts excellent transport links. This campsite is ideal for anyone who wants to take a break and explore Burgundy while travelling to Switzerland, Lake Geneva or the Côte d'Azur.

Campsite close to the motorway in the tri-city area

The Municipal campsite is open from mid-March to the end of October and is a popular place to spend the night, as it is not only conveniently located close to the A40 and A6 motorways, but also has plenty of space for motorhomes and caravans. There are 250 pitches on the 5-hectare, very well-kept site, some of which are surrounded by hedges and deciduous trees. The entrance area is very inviting and landscaped. After long car journeys, campers will be particularly pleased with the heated outdoor pool. Children can get rid of excess energy in the playground and paddling pool, while teenagers will be entertained in the disco. A laundry room equipped with tumble dryers and washing machines is just as much a part of the services on offer as Wi-Fi throughout the site. Hungry guests can buy a few snacks at the snack bar or kiosk or stop off at the on-site restaurant. Close to the campsite, the river Saône is ideal for evening strolls or campers can take the bus from the bus stop on site to Mâcon, which is just 5 kilometres away and offers supermarkets and shops. The historic centre with its colourful old town houses and quays is also worth a detour.
