Thanks to its location in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, the many advantages for winter sports enthusiasts on site and the nearby ski areas, Camping Olympia is the ideal place for all winter fans during the cold months. Four-legged friends can also feel at home and are very welcome.
The Olympia campsite is located in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, just 2 km from Dobbiaco at 1,243 metres above sea level. The nearest bus stop is 50 metres away; the Rienz river runs right past the site. Camping Olympia offers 206 pitches for mobile homes, each measuring between 90 and 100 m². The South Tyrolean mountains can be admired from every pitch - snow-covered mountain slopes in winter, green mountain pastures in spring and summer. The campsite offers an optimal service for caravans and motorhomes, including the supply of gas bottles. There is also the option of using the launderette with washing machine, tumble dryer and drying room. The campsite is usually quiet at night, but there may be some disturbance during the day, especially near the swimming pool or at meeting places. The campsite is quiet from 1 to 3 pm. There are many leisure activities available all year round. There is an animal park right next to the campsite with ponies, goats, swans, geese and many other animals. In the summer months, the campsite invites you to barbecues and live music, while in winter toboggan rides and Christmas parties are organised and, in good weather, a campfire is lit under a starry sky. Relaxation is also catered for: a wellness area is equipped with everything your heart desires. From Finnish sauna to hammam and indoor Kneipp facility, everything is included.
Whether hiking, cycling or mountain biking in summer or skiing, cross-country skiing and other activities in winter - the picturesque natural surroundings of the campsite are ideal for outdoor activities of all kinds. In winter, the Sesto Dolomites and Plan de Corones ski areas can be reached in around 20 minutes, while the Rienz family ski area in Dobbiaco, where beginners and pros alike can get their money's worth, is closer. In summer, cycling and hiking trails that start right at the campsite invite you to go on extensive tours. For those interested in culture, there are many opportunities to visit museums in the region. The nearby Three Peaks mountain range offers many hiking and cycling trails in summer and ski slopes in winter, as well as a show dairy where you can watch the production of different types of cheese up close.
