FabulousThe rugged peaks of the Ticino Alps rise up around Camping Piccolo Paradiso in Avegno. The babbling River Maggia, which flows directly past the campsite, forms an exciting contrast to the mountains and forests. Some of the grass pitches, which measure up to 100 m², are shaded by trees. The campsite in Avegno is an Eldorado for families: on hot days, they love to meet up at the lovingly designed paddling pool or the playground. The mini-golf course is also popular with families. Seasonal specialities are available in the restaurant, where Mediterranean dishes and traditional snacks are served. Those who like to cook for themselves can buy the ingredients in the small shop on the campsite.

Camping Piccolo Paradiso promises a varied and comfortable camping holiday in the Maggia Valley, surrounded by mountains. A peaceful atmosphere and proximity to Lake Maggiore are among the advantages of this family-friendly campsite.
Directly on the crystal-clear Maggia in the Swiss canton of Ticino, Camping Piccolo Paradiso is nestled in an idyllic mountain valley. Numerous bathing spots with shimmering turquoise-blue water invite you to splash around in the refreshing mountain river. There are even sandy beaches on some of the banks in the vicinity of the campsite. Those who prefer to swim in the lake can head to Lake Maggiore, around 6 kilometres to the south, where the nearest large town of Locarno is located. Camping Piccolo Paradiso is a first-class choice not only for swimming fans, but also for active holidaymakers. The holiday village is the perfect starting point for leisurely hikes through the Maggia Valley and climbing challenging peaks. Mountains such as the Cimetta and Salmone tower all around. A special feature of the region are the numerous via ferratas such as Torbeccio and Ponte Brolla. The mountains are also ideal for dog owners to go on long walks with their four-legged travelling companion. Dog showers are available at Camping Piccolo Paradiso and the Tra da Nüm dog training centre is not far away.
With a paddling pool, Camping Piccolo Paradiso offers children another opportunity to have fun in the cool water. The little ones are just as happy to romp around in the playground and swing a club with their parents on the campsite's own mini-golf course. An entertainment team also provides seasonal entertainment for the youngsters. To ensure that children can play safely throughout the campsite, car traffic is restricted during the summer months. If you take a trip to Lake Maggiore, you can choose from a wide range of water sports such as fishing, surfing and sailing. If the weather takes you indoors, there is an air-conditioned recreation room with video games, among other things. The restaurant at Camping Piccolo Paradiso serves regional and seasonal specialities, tasty snacks and child-friendly dishes. It has a sun terrace with mountain views. There is also a mini market with warm baked goods for breakfast, fresh food and various camper supplies. The differently sized pitches at Camping Piccolo Paradiso are spread over three areas, each with a modern wash house. Shady pitches can be selected thanks to the tall deciduous trees and the location below a wooded mountain slope.
