Much too expensive! Outrageous pricing policy!
The "new pricing policy" is outrageous! If you are only traveling as a pair, you pay exactly as much as if you are traveling as a group of six. Couples are subsidizing everyone else. Our neighbors are there with 6 adults (a Russian large family from France) and pay the same as us (almost €80 per nig… More

Catastrophic- dirty- family-unfriendly
Campsite near Vrsar. Surroundings and water very beautiful. This is our 4th stay. Unfortunately, it has gotten worse year by year. The sanitary building 3 is always very dirty as it is also visited by many people. Only 6 washing places and way too cramped. Got a spot at the gate. There was no ot… More

The beautiful Porto Sole campsite on the Istrian peninsula in Croatia offers camping with fantastic views of the sea. The family-friendly campsite with its own private beach not only impresses with its excellent location, but also offers a wide-ranging leisure programme and plenty of space for carefree hours on the Adriatic coast.
The popular Porto Sole campsite is located in a sheltered bay just one kilometre from the centre of the historic town of Vrsar at the entrance to the Limfjord between Porec and Pula. The picturesque surroundings between shady pine trees and the proximity to the sea make the holiday resort an excellent starting point for enjoying the wonderful natural landscapes of the Istrian peninsula with all your senses.
Camping Porto Sole extends over the slightly hilly terrain around Vrsar between the narrow coastal road and the beautiful Adriatic coast with its offshore islands. The well-tended private beach promises bathing fun and relaxing days by the sea. Active holidaymakers will be delighted by the wide range of sports on offer and the diving club, with which they can explore Croatia's fascinating underwater world.
Holidaymakers spend their holiday on over 600 pitches spread over an area of around 19 hectares. The pitches have electricity and water connections. The premium pitches with a direct view of the sea are particularly popular. Broad-crowned deciduous trees provide shade, while bushes and small hedges separate the 100 square metre pitches from each other and ensure the necessary privacy during your family holiday.
Those travelling without their own mobile home will find a new home in the tastefully furnished mobile homes for up to six people. The mobile homes at Camping Porto Sole are fully equipped and have a kitchenette, TV connection and air conditioning. Tents can also be rented on the campsite.
A highlight for water lovers is the private beach, which is over 1 km long. The pebble, rock and concrete beach with natural shade has been awarded the blue flag for excellent water quality. Guests can hire parasols and sun loungers and relax by the water. Near the beach there is also a dedicated dog beach where four-legged friends can romp and play in the water as they please. The outdoor pool and children's pool are just a few steps away and offer guests the opportunity to relax by the pool or splash around in the water. The campsite also offers the convenience of its own restaurant and supermarket: here you will find all the ingredients you need to cook local delicacies in your own caravan.
There's never a dull moment at Camping Porto Sole! Younger guests will quickly make new friends in the children's playground and at the children's entertainment programme under the watchful eyes of the friendly staff. Older children and teenagers, on the other hand, will have fun with their peers playing table tennis, archery, beach volleyball or in the large water park by the sea.
The diving centre on the campsite is also exciting. Both beginners and advanced divers can book courses at the campsite's German-speaking reception and explore the colourful underwater world of the Croatian Adriatic. There is also plenty going on on land: the sports facilities include tennis courts, a multi-purpose sports field, bike hire and mini golf.
Those who simply want to relax on their camping holiday should make a note of the wellness centre. The beauty centre is a particular highlight of Camping Porto Sole, offering massage treatments, among other things. A fitness room also contributes to your daily well-being.
After an eventful day by the sea, guests can relax at the end of the day with various evening programmes such as live music, performances or themed evenings. The Porto Sole campsite also offers cycle tours, guided walks in the surrounding area and city tours.
The historic centre of the fairytale town of Vrsar is located directly on the banks of the Limski Canal. The town can be reached by bike from Camping Porto Sole in just a few minutes. To this day, thick defensive walls protect the narrow streets in the town centre. In addition to the pretty old town centre, the main town gate on the east side and the small town gate in the south-west are well worth seeing.
As Vrsar is considered the sculpture town of Croatia, it is only fitting that the Montraker quarry is home to the International Summer School of Sculpture. The sculpture park by artist Dusan Dzamonjas exhibits many other works of art. The nearby nature reserve around the Limski Canal invites you to go on wonderful hikes from Vrsar: a particularly popular tour leads over 22 kilometres to the abandoned town of Dvigrad.
