Camping River (Ameglia)

Spacious campsite with its own jetties

Camping River has its own moorings for larger and smaller boats along the banks of the Magra. From here, holidaymakers can quickly reach the Ligurian coast and embark on exciting trips on the Mediterranean. Another of the resort's highlights is the huge open-air pool surrounded by sun loungers and massage jets. The large pool is perfect for swimming, while the flat, separate area is ideal for toddlers and babies. The whirlpool provides relaxation for adults. On sunny summer days, excursions to the Ligurian coast and the Mediterranean bays there are recommended.

First-class facilities and lots of sports options in the surrounding area

The campsite is located in the south of Liguria, just a few kilometres from the border with Tuscany. The nearest town of Ameglia is within easy walking distance, while the larger town of La Spezia is 10 kilometres to the west. As the site has a restaurant and a snack bar as well as a grocery shop, holidaymakers do not need to leave Camping River to do their shopping. Dogs are welcome on the site at any time of year. Mobile homes, tents and bungalows are available to rent as alternatives to pitches. The sanitary cabins are in good condition. Many of them are also accessible for campers with limited mobility. Fast Wi-Fi and facilities for washing and drying clothes are also available. Camping River rents out bicycles to guests, organises diving courses and runs a varied sports programme. Pony riding in the immediate neighbourhood is very popular. Children can play with their peers in the open air in the children's playground. For excursions in the region, we recommend a city tour of La Spezia, whose landmarks include the cathedral and the Castello San Giorgio. By car, holidaymakers are also just over an hour away from Pisa, where they can visit the iconic Leaning Tower of the Tuscan city.
