If you want to combine sport and fitness with a camping holiday close to nature in Switzerland, the Sportarena campsite is just the place for you. The campsite with a gently sloping, mainly terraced meadow area for motorhomes and caravans is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Valais Alps in the winter sports and thermal spa resort of Leukerbad. All around, the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park is a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers. In the immediate vicinity of the campsite is the eponymous sports arena with a wide range of indoor activities for those looking for exercise. Various ball sports such as tennis, squash and badminton are on offer. There is also a modern fitness centre, a bouldering hall and opportunities for curling and ice skating. The three public thermal baths in Leukerbad invite you to relax and regenerate.
For sports enthusiasts, there is a wide range of activities available here. However, be prepared for some drawbacks such as longer walks to the sanitary facilities, limited shade, and little privacy.
