Camping Timmeler Meer

Camping Timmeler Meer is located near Großefehn in East Frisia, idyllically surrounded by a natural green area right next to a bathing lake. The campsite is characterised by a wide range of leisure activities and a relaxed atmosphere. The campsite's child- and dog-friendly facilities also make for a comfortable stay with the whole family.

A campsite close to nature with a family-friendly atmosphere

The extensive campsite extends over 7 hectares and has 71 pitches, some of which are parcelled out. The pitches are between 100-120 square metres in size and offer electricity and water connections as well as sanitary facilities, cooking facilities and washrooms. There is also WLAN access throughout the site. In addition to the two playgrounds, table tennis tables and a mini-golf course, there are regular entertainment programmes for children during the summer months. The picturesque bathing lake with a fine sandy beach and its own dog area is also a popular meeting place on the site. With a small boat harbour including boat hire, excursion boat trips or a refreshing dip in the water, there is something for everyone. Delicious snacks and refreshments are available in the campsite shop. The many hiking and cycling trails in the region make an excellent change from the lake. Due to the flat terrain, cycling excursions are a particularly popular activity. One of the most popular routes is the approximately 36-kilometre-long 5-mill tour along traditional windmills and small villages. For campers interested in culture, a visit to the harbour town of Emden is well worthwhile. There, the East Frisian State Museum, the Bunker Museum and the art gallery make for an entertaining stay.
