Camping Tisens

At Camping Tisens in Meranerland, families and active people can enjoy a varied holiday in the South Tyrolean Alps. In summer, the campsite is open all year round and boasts a large outdoor pool with a separate children's pool and a well-tended sunbathing lawn. Just a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of Tisens and 7 km from Lana, the Naturcaravanpark Tisens is surrounded by idyllic vineyards and orchards. The campsite is open all year round and has a welcoming atmosphere. Active guests feel just as at home on the 80 pitches with electricity and free WLAN as families. The Grand Deluxe pitches are particularly spacious, ranging in size from 130 to 150 square metres. A good atmosphere prevails not only outdoors, but also in the cosy restaurant. Fresh produce from neighbouring farms is used for the lovingly prepared dishes. Guests can enjoy a glass of South Tyrolean wine with typical Italian dishes. Active holidaymakers can take advantage of the excellent bike service at Camping Tisens. Together with the Bikeacademy Lana, guided tours for racing cyclists and mountain bikers of varying levels of difficulty are offered on an ongoing basis. There are also special themed weeks for e-bikers and ladies. If you don't want to bring your own bike from home, you can use the hire station at Camping Tisens. Sporty guests can also often be found at the pool in the 4,000 square metre garden. Here they can swim their laps in the 25 metre-long sports pool. A separate children's pool provides fun in the water for the youngest guests.

Hiking and cycling in the Tisens holiday region

There are numerous hiking trails around the picturesque village of Tesimo/Tisens. The family-friendly international felt art trail, for example, leads over 5.7 km from the centre via the Vorbichl, where sheep have been grazing for centuries. Along the way, walkers can admire 24 works of art made from felted sheep's wool, such as the weather witch or figures from the well-known fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. The 6-kilometre hike from the Gampen Pass to the Laugenalm is worthwhile for connoisseurs. In the hut, which is open in summer, the innkeepers spoil you with homemade butter on fresh bread, hearty hut dishes and fluffy Kaiserschmarrn pancakes. If you want to cover the distance by bike, take advantage of the free bike transfer from Lana to the Gampen Pass. Bikes are also transported free of charge to Lana and Völlan.
