Good family spot for a lot of money
The location is of course top-notch, right in the nature reserve and basically really quiet. In the evenings, it was pleasantly quiet early, but in the mornings, the hustle and bustle returned rather early, thanks to the many children. Some noise echoed into the weekend in the form of disco music ov… More

ADAC assessment incomprehensible
Is this supposed to be an ADAC Super site? For instance, if at the old washhouse there are only two hot water taps for all the sinks and no storage for washing, new sanitary buildings that are finished are just standard. Loungers by the lake are old and dirty, then it's better not to put any at all.… More

Good campsite, suitable for families with children
Great campsite with always clean sanitary facilities within short reach. Reception very friendly, multilingual, quick, and helpful. Excellent for children, pool with slides, playground, and play park. Not really suitable for dogs. Campsites are not necessarily divided and fully visible. Electricity … More

A spacious bathing area, entertainment for children and adults and the best panoramic location directly on the shores of Lake Maggiore make Camping Village Isolino in Italy a popular holiday destination. Bathing guests can enjoy the wonderful sandy beach and the many pools, while active holidaymakers can play tennis and take advantage of the water sports on offer.
Located directly on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, the child-friendly Camping Village Isolino extends over an area of 150,000 square metres and quickly becomes the perfect holiday destination for families. A well-tended green area with idyllic sunbathing lawns and shady trees surrounds the numerous pitches and rental accommodation. There are numerous pitches on site for tents, motorhomes and caravans, most of which have a fresh water and waste water connection as well as an electricity connection. Only a few pitches are available to permanent campers, meaning that the site is dominated by holidaymakers. The site's sanitary buildings are modern and have hot showers. The sanitary facilities have also been adapted to the needs of parents and children and there are special sanitary cabins for children with child-friendly equipment and a playful design, as well as baby changing rooms. And even without a home on wheels, a camping holiday at Village Isolino is a pleasure, as mobile homes in the maxi caravan, bungalow and holiday flat categories are also available to rent for relaxing nights. The largest bungalows measure 50 square metres and are designed for up to six holidaymakers. The campsite supermarket also has a wide range of products: In addition to fresh food, holidaymakers can purchase utensils such as air mattresses, water toys and household accessories here. Swimming caps, which must be worn in the holiday complex's swimming pools, are also sold here, as well as at reception. The pool park is much more than just an outdoor pool, as it includes several pools, a whirlpool, a paddling pool and a water spray park with slides. The restaurant and pizzeria at Villaggio Isolino is equally popular with children and adults. Snacks and drinks are also available at the pool bar and at the bar, so a small snack is never far away. After a refreshing drink, guests can enjoy sunbathing on a deckchair or compete against each other in a table tennis match. Several shaded table tennis tables as well as tennis courts and a football pitch characterise the sports area on the campsite.
Water is a central element at Villaggio Isolino. The sand and pebble beach on Lake Maggiore invites all campers to swim, splash around and sunbathe. There is also a small sandy bay with adjoining sunbathing area on the eastern part of the campsite. Campers with dogs can enjoy a separate section of beach. A long jetty with moorings also makes the site the ideal starting point for boat trips. Whether surf hire or pedalo hire, all wishes come true on Lake Maggiore. The holiday park offers a wide range of activities for young and old every day, creating a great atmosphere. On Lake Maggiore, water sports enthusiasts can go paddle boarding together, yoga classes take place on one of the green areas and children can go on treasure hunts with their peers or have fun with the children's entertainment programme. Musical and magic shows are regularly performed in the evenings. The weekly guided cycle tours and Nordic walking tours are also popular with active holidaymakers. Holidaymakers can also hire bikes individually and explore the surrounding area. The Giardini Botanici Villa Taranto, just 8 kilometres south-east of the campsite, is a great destination for an excursion. The botanical garden comprises around a dozen different themed areas, including a magnificent dahlia area and an exotic lotus garden. In general, Lake Maggiore is a very attractive holiday region and is in no way inferior to the well-known Lake Garda. Whether it's boat trips to the Borromean Islands or a visit to interesting cities such as Milan and villages with the typical charm of La Dolce Vita such as Baveno or Luino - a stay at Camping Village Isolino offers endless possibilities. The proximity to the Swiss border is also appealing. A day trip to beautiful Locarno, for example, is an enrichment for any camping holiday.
