A holiday in the farmhouse atmosphere of Camping Wang is not like any other. Campers here can look forward not only to the beauty of the Swiss mountains right outside their campervan door, but also to spacious pitches and a child-friendly yet quiet atmosphere with on-site tent hire.
Camping Wang is located in the idyllic mountain landscape not far from the Swiss municipality of Beatenberg in the Bernese Oberland. The quiet camping site, a Swiss farm, is located outside the village centre directly on the southern slope of the Niederhorn and is therefore an ideal starting point for exploring Beatenberg's local mountain. With spacious pitches generously spaced across the farm's own meadow, the campsite offers plenty of space and privacy. Children will also love the rabbits and the camping farm's pet dog. Always clean washrooms, a canteen with fridge and freezer as well as outdoor fireplaces, which add a touch of campfire atmosphere to the alpine campsite ambience in the evenings, are included.
The journey to Camping Wang is via Interlaken on Lake Thun. From here it is only 30 minutes to Beatenberg. Surrounded by a picturesque mountain backdrop, the campsite is the perfect address for amateur mountaineers and lovers of the Swiss countryside. The campsite offers a magnificent view of the Niederhorn and Lake Thun in the mountain valley. Excursions to both natural destinations are easy on the hiking trails around the farm. A cave hike in the Beatus Caves is particularly recommended. The historic stalactite cave was named after the local Irish saint Beatus, who is said to have once driven a dragon out of its interior. Visitors are particularly fascinated by the underground cave lakes, which are considered the main attraction of the municipality. The regional mountain range of the Emmental Alps, including the Niederhorn, can be easily explored thanks to the numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area. The campsite is also the best starting and orientation point for planning further day hikes in the surrounding area. If you book your pitch in high season, you can look forward to a daily visit from the local baker on the campsite, who provides nature holidaymakers with fresh pastries and provisions for their adventures in the Bernese Oberland every morning. The friendly campsite owners are always happy to help guests who would like to hire additional tents or caravans.
