Top Campsite - family-friendly and well-maintained
A beautiful and well-maintained place to relax. The sanitary facilities are clean and in good condition. The pitches are large and well-kept, the staff is friendly and helpful. The short path to the beach is ideal, we would love to come back.

Wonderful welcome, already at the first telephone contact, very helpful and competent staff. Beautiful and central campground in Sylt

The campsite in Rantum on Sylt attracts both nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts. The individual needs of visitors are the top priority here. Families with children, couples and even dog owners appreciate the beautiful campsite. If you spend your holiday here, you can expect an island landscape with unique flora and fauna.
The 5.5-hectare Rantum campsite is located to the south of Westerland, bordering the Rantum Basin nature reserve. Around 200 mobile homes, caravans or tents can be set up here. The North Sea is just a short walk away: the nearby Weststrand beach makes the dream of a holiday by the sea come true. The landscape with its soft dune sand, the gentle heath and the fascinating Wadden Sea delights active guests and families alike who love to explore. More than 30 different bird species live in the Rantum Basin, which was originally a water aerodrome. The islands in the south-east of the basin in particular are an ideal breeding ground for terns and avocets. If you fancy an excursion after swimming, sunbathing or playing beach volleyball on the beach, you can go hiking on the Red Cliff of Kampen. The cliffs, formed by ice age glaciers, are an impressive 30 metres high. At 52 metres, the highest point on the island of Sylt, the Uwe Dune, is located in the immediate vicinity of the campsite and is perfect for a walk. Nature lovers will also be delighted by the Braderuper Heide. The habitat of endangered animals and plants extends over 140 hectares, which considerate visitors can view. Cultural events in the village, such as the "MeerKabarett" in the Syltquelle, are a good tip for evening entertainment. There are also convenient shopping facilities, restaurants and cafés. You can reach other Sylt sights by bike on largely flat and therefore leisurely tours.
The Rantum campsite impresses with its great team and atmosphere. Here you feel at home and part of the camping family. Booking a pitch is straightforward and the sanitary facilities are always well maintained. Culinary delights await holidaymakers in the "Tiroler Stuben": regional Sylt cuisine and Tyrolean dishes are a welcome refreshment in the evening. The crêpe snack bar is just the thing for small appetites. Regular guests and first-timers camp harmoniously in Rantum and get tips for their stay on Sylt from the friendly staff. Just as children can play freely, dogs also enjoy the vastness of the campsite and the natural surroundings.
