The famous Roman road Via Julia Augusta leads through Finale Ligure, the most palm-rich town on the Italian Riviera. The lush green beach promenade looks almost like an exotic park. Just 1.5 km from this popular seaside resort is the 2-hectare Eurocamping Calvisio campsite with 130 pitches for caravans, campers, mobile homes and tents. The site, which also has a grocery shop and restaurant, is open from April to December. The flat meadow area with deciduous and coniferous trees, which extends at the foot of a wooded slope, has its own outdoor pool with paddling pool. Children are entertained with age-appropriate entertainment or romp around with their peers in the playground. While the youngest offspring ride ponies, teenagers and adults can take part in riding lessons on the grounds of Eurocamping Calvisio. Those who wish can also explore the surrounding area on hire bikes and e-bikes. Outdoor fitness is also on offer. Dogs are welcome on the campsite. A free shuttle bus takes guests to the centre of Finale Ligure or to the beach. The most interesting part of the town is Finalborgo with its 15th century town walls and historic palazzi, which today house restaurants and shops. The Toirano caves, whose labyrinths are among the most beautiful in Italy, are also worth a visit.
