At the KNAUS Campingpark Bad Dürkheim, families can enjoy relaxing days at a beautiful natural swimming lake. The campsite is located directly on the German Wine Route near the spa town of Bad Dürkheim in the Palatinate Forest. Surrounded by romantic vineyards, the family-friendly campsite is the perfect starting point for cycling tours and hikes in the beautiful surroundings.
The KNAUS Campingpark Bad Dürkheim offers a total of 500 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, spread over almost 18 hectares of meadows. There are also 16 motorhome pitches with electricity in front of the barrier for motorhome drivers. In addition to the pitches, campers can also spend the night in various rental accommodations. There is a choice of fully equipped mobile homes with their own bathroom and veranda, luxurious bungalow tents for glamping fans, camping barrels and MegaPODs. Tipi tents with power supply for the whole family are also very popular. There is a well-stocked shop on site with fresh bread rolls, local wines, sausages and many other groceries. Guests can treat themselves to freshly prepared meals in the campsite's own restaurant. In the evening, the Aloha beach bar is the perfect place to round off the day. Here guests can enjoy a sundowner directly on the sandy beach with a fantastic view of Lake Almensee. The modern and barrier-free sanitary facilities are cleaned daily and offer showers with hot water, tumble dryers and washing machines. A supply station and facilities for disposing of grey water are available for motorhomes. Dogs are welcome on the site. Dogs must be kept on a lead throughout the site and campers must bring their own dog waste bags.
There is a large swimming lake at the centre of the extensive camping park. The Almensee lake with water park is the main attraction, especially on hot summer days, and invites you to relax and refresh yourself in the cool water. The campsite also has a children's playground with table tennis and table football and the Old River Ranch - a riding centre located directly in the vineyards. During the summer months, the campsite's entertainment team provides a new adventure every day. For example, children can learn how to make their own costumes or knights' swords. Highlights for adults are the regular wine tastings. A vine arbour walk runs through the campsite with exciting information about the cultivation of the noble grapes. Sports enthusiasts can let off steam on the beach volleyball and tennis courts or on the football pitch. There is also a bike hire service on site so you can explore the beautiful surroundings on two wheels.
The German Wine Route, which is around 85 kilometres long, runs right past the campsite. There are countless beautiful hiking and cycling trails along the entire route, offering fantastic views of the Rhine Valley. Connoisseurs combine excursions to picturesque castles and fortresses with a visit to the countless wine taverns and wineries - this makes a camping holiday fun. If you want a little more action instead, head to the famous Holiday Park amusement park or the Hassloch water park. The nearby spa town of Bad Dürkheim is also worth a visit. Here you can admire the world's largest wine barrel or stroll along the picturesque alleyways of the old town centre between old half-timbered buildings, wine taverns and cafés. Those interested in culture can visit the ruins of Hardenburg Castle or the old Limburg Monastery. Concerts and theatre performances are regularly held here in summer.
