Campsite with its own beach

Medora Orbis Camping & Glamping is located on the Dalmatian coast between Split in the north and Dubrovnik in the south in the Podgora region, around 10 kilometres south of the small town of Makarska. The naturally designed campsite by the sea has a total of 50 parcelled pitches with electricity, water and drainage connections. The site offers a terraced hillside location and direct access to the private pebble beaches in the middle of a well-tended, shady garden. There are modern sanitary facilities, a washing machine and tumble dryer, a children's playground, children's TV in the games room and a covered barbecue area with tables and benches. WLAN is available free of charge throughout the site. There is also a charging station for electric cars and free sheltered car parking. Other services include a 24-hour reception, an information desk for excursions, lockers and a left-luggage office. There is a supermarket in the immediate vicinity where you can buy everyday necessities and items for the campsite kitchen. The village of Podgora also offers a good tourist infrastructure with restaurants, bars, cafés and small shops. There is also a cocktail bar and a lounge on the campsite where you can relax with a drink in your hand. Dogs are also allowed on the campsite.

Water sports, hiking and wine

Medora Orbis Camping & Glamping is the ideal base for hikes in the Biokovo Nature Park, whose highest peaks rise up to 1,762 metres into the sky and from which you can enjoy magnificent views over the sea. Trekking or cycling tours lead into the region under local guidance. There is a local bike hire service. The turquoise sea off the coast also offers the best conditions for diving and snorkelling. Canoe tours are also very popular. Boat trips lead from Podgora to the islands of Hvar and Brač off the Dalmatian coast. Brač is best known for its white pebble beach Zlatni Rat. In the evening, the nearby Podgora promenade and picturesque harbour are perfect for a stroll. The region is also known for its olive and wine growing. The "konobas", Croatian for cellars, and restaurants serve Croatian fish specialities and local wine.
