Oostappen Vakantiepark Hengelhoef welcomes its guests in the province of Limburg in the north-west of the Belgian region of Flanders. It has an idyllic location and is surrounded by hilly woodland and heathland. With three nature reserves in the immediate vicinity, the campsite is an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours through the green panoramas of Belgian Burgundy - at any time of year and also with four-legged friends. The campsite offers holidaymakers 250 pitches, each measuring around 100 square metres and supplied with electricity, as well as 382 rental accommodations of various sizes. The small supermarket on the campsite stocks everyday necessities and groceries. The sanitary facilities are well maintained and the showers can be used free of charge. Washing machines, tumble dryers and a laundry service as well as bike hire are also available at the campsite. The wide range of leisure facilities make the site particularly attractive: an indoor swimming paradise with slides, wave pool, whirlpools and sauna is just as much a part of the holiday park as a lake without bathing facilities with around 300 m of sandy beach. A children's and youth club, mini golf, indoor playground and a colourful entertainment programme round off the offer for families with children. The Hengelhoef nature reserve with the visitor centre of the Limburgs Landschap nature association borders directly on the campsite. In addition to hiking trails, outdoor enthusiasts will find an interactive beekeeping centre, a sensory trail, an insect and heather garden and farm animals. Adults and children can also expand their knowledge of ecological allotments here.

The Ten Haagdorn nature reserve, a fairytale-like heathland with rivers, lakes and ancient trees, is just 2 kilometres from the campsite and is perfect for long walks. It is also not far to the De Maten nature reserve, where lakes, swamp forests and heather-covered dunes are home to numerous birds. The Kelchterhoef nature reserve is located just under 4 kilometres northwest of Oostappen Vakantiepark Hengelhoef; the picnic island is particularly popular. In the village of Houthalen-Helchteren, on the edge of which the campsite is located, the stately walls of the Ter Dolen castle brewery with its children's playground and sunny café terrace are well worth a visit. The Bobbejaanland amusement park is just over 50 kilometres away and has over 40 attractions for a fun-filled family day out. Liège, Antwerp, Eindhoven and Aachen are all within 100 kilometres of the campsite and are perfect for city trips.
