Between dunes and vast forests, Skagen Sydstrand Camping - Bunken is ideal for a relaxing family holiday by the North Sea.
The idyllic nature campsite with barbecue bar, ice cream kiosk and pitches for caravans and motorhomes is located in Denmark's northernmost region of North Jutland, a good 14 km south of the holiday resort of Skagen, known for its magical light. It offers direct access to a white sandy beach and has three playgrounds and a mini-golf course. There is a dog forest and attractive cycling and walking routes around the peaceful campsite. The famous Råbjerg Mile dune is within walking distance. The silted-up church to the south-west of Skagen is also an impressive excursion destination.

Vast and sandy grassland terrain with dense vegetation. Divided into individual pitches by medium-high deciduous trees and rows of bushes. One area at the beach without plantings. Between a dune ridge up to 7 m high and the road.

Campsite okay but not outstanding
The campsite is located in close proximity to the sandy beach. However, the pitches did not convince us. After a rainy day, our pitch was underwater. Skagen Sydstrand Camping - Bunken has been welcoming individual holidaymakers since the late 1960s and has enabled guests to spend a relaxing holiday in idyllic surroundings ever since. Direct access to the kilometre-long fine sandy beach is just one of the highlights of this family-friendly and natural holiday destination. The site, which is open seasonally, covers a total of 25 hectares and offers 700 pitches. 560 of these are designed for guest campers. All of the pitches are parcelled out and have an area of between 80 and 130 square metres. As a rule, two or three pitches share an electricity connection. The four sanitary blocks are clean and are gradually being updated. Other services on the campsite include three playgrounds with equipment for different age groups. Ball sports enthusiasts will enjoy the football pitch and the beach volleyball court, while the mini golf course on site guarantees hours of fun together. Those who like to cook a little more opulently but don't have the necessary capacity in their own caravan or motorhome will enjoy the communal kitchens at Skagen Sydstrand Camping - Bunken. Fresh ingredients for dinner are available from the supermarket on site. There is also a restaurant.
