In the heart of Friesland, the Swichumer Pleats campsite offers soothing tranquillity and plenty of green space. The spacious site with safari tents and a flat meadow area for caravans and motorhomes is located in the Dutch village of Swichum and offers wonderful views over the vastness of the Frisian countryside. There is a playground for children to run around in. The site is also an ideal starting point for excursions and cycle tours on well-marked paths. Just 4 km away is the culturally rich city of Leeuwarden with its charming canals, pretty gabled houses and the Princessehof ceramics museum, which houses one of the most important porcelain collections in the Netherlands in a baroque palace. The Grote Wielen nature reserve offers beautiful bathing spots, while the city beach of Leeuwarden invites you to go canoeing.
