Great campsite for families with kids and dog, directly
Mega great campsite with a very nice restaurant and mega friendly staff. We really appreciated the ice cream cart next to the restaurant. The accommodation Pod was super well equipped, it had all the necessary utensils for cooking and eating. Cleaning supplies and dish towels were even available. TCS Camping Solothurn is situated on flat, well-tended meadows. Some of the pitches are separated by trees. Holidaymakers who prefer to spend the night in rented accommodation can choose from safari tents, nostalgic caravans or family pods. It is only a few steps to the River Aare, which has its own boat harbour. Children can look forward to a bouncy castle and a playground at the campsite. Holidaymakers can quickly make friends at the communal barbecue areas.
On a sightseeing trip into nature and the city
TCS Camping Solothurn is an ideal starting point for discovering Solothurn. There are cycle paths right outside the campsite. They lead along the River Aare, for example, or into the hilly landscape of the Emmental. "Ship ahoy" is the motto when holidaymakers use the Öufi boat Solothurn and discover the city from the water. There is a landing stage directly in front of the campsite. If you want to explore the magnificent mountain landscape from a bird's eye view, take the Weissenstein cable car up to Solothurn's local mountain. On a clear day, the view stretches as far as Mont Blanc. Hiking trails of various lengths start from the mountain station. A walk through Solothurn is also worthwhile: the clock tower and the impressive St. Ursen Cathedral are some of the cultural highlights.
