On a farmstead in the foothills of the Ore Mountains, the MiO mini campsite is ideal for a holiday close to nature in Central Saxony. The small campsite with various rental accommodation options is located in the middle of orchards in Ottendorf near Lichtenau. A cosy wooden barn houses the food workshop with a range of drinks and space for cooking workshops. Berry bushes and a herb garden invite you to pick and snack yourself. Popular excursion destinations include the Garnsdorf summer swimming pool and the historic Anna spring ferry.

The pitches at Vodatent @ Minicamping MiO are surrounded by orchards and fields. The campsite is located near Ottendorf, a district of Lichtenau in Central Saxony. During the warmer months, guests can help themselves to the berry bushes and herb garden. There are also regular cooking workshops held in the cosy wooden barn. The covered terrace is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Ice cream, drinks and other snacks are available here during the high season. Several times a week, meals are cooked under the stars in the open-plan kitchen. Cows graze right next to the campsite.

There is a lot to experience around Lichtenau: The Anna cross-cable ferry takes you across the Zschopenau in the valley between Sachsenburg and Krumbach. Hikers and cyclists like to use this opportunity to cross over. There are well-signposted paths on both sides that lead through a varied landscape to manors and castles. A highlight for families is the Sonnenlandpark. The giant slide, a Ferris wheel and the water and mud playground are popular with children. There is also a wildlife park on the leisure grounds. The Garnsdorf summer swimming pool with a solar-heated pool and lots of play facilities for children is a great place to cool off.
