Camping La Mer Blanche

Golfers are in the right place to pursue their passion at one of the campsites in Bénodet. The Golf Bluegreen l'Odet golf course, located near the village, consists of an 18-hole course on 130 hectares in a wooded area. The original embankment separates the wide fairways from tranquil ponds. The holiday is rounded off with numerous water sports such as sailing and surfing on the coast of Brittany.

Special features of camping in Bénodet

Camping in Bénodet is suitable for families with children as well as for naturists. The Plage de Kerler, for example, is located on an area protected by a dune and is supervised by lifeguards in summer. From here, visitors have a wonderful view of the Glénan Islands.

Culture vultures will enjoy a trip to the Musée du Bord de Mer, which tells the story of the early days of sailing. If you want to jump into the cool water yourself, you can do so at Plage Letty, Trez Beach or Saint Gilles Beach.

A walk to the Feu de la Pyramide lighthouse is well worthwhile. From the viewing platform, visitors can marvel at both the Atlantic Ocean and the mainland. The nearby Casino Barrière also provides entertainment.

Best time to visit

Camping in Bénodet is particularly popular in the summer months from June to September. The air temperature climbs to a mild 22 degrees, while the water reaches up to 16 degrees in August. Bathers can enjoy up to seven hours of sunshine a day.

The months of April, May and October are also pleasant for sailing, with air temperatures of up to 17 degrees. The water then cools down to around 13 degrees and the rainfall is limited to around twelve days.

Winter is mild with temperatures of at least five degrees. The water temperature also remains stable at around ten degrees. However, the hours of sunshine decrease to two to four per day. There can also be frequent showers with a maximum of 18 days per month.
