• Dahmer Oldietage: At the end of May, regional bands play the best musical classics from rock, pop and jazz on a large stage on the beach. The groups perform for more than 5 hours and ensure a great atmosphere.

• Dahm shanty choir meeting: For a whole weekend in mid-June, national shanty choirs perform in front of the Dahme pier and present the audience with typical sailor songs from the Baltic coast.
• Day of the shanty choirs: Domestic and foreign choirs present themselves in mid-June in the Kugelbake-Halle and in the Kurpark Döse.

• Dahme lighthouse: On a warm summer night at the end of July, spectacular fireworks are set off into the sky from the pier in Dahme. In addition to unforgettable displays of colour, the festival also features live music, cocktail bars and regional snacks.

August

• Kurpark in flames: On a Sunday in mid-August, fountains of light rise into the night sky in Dahme's Kurpark. From 8.00 pm, the fireworks are accompanied by baroque music as well as orchestral works from the Viennese classical period and operetta music.

Gastronomy

The cuisine of Schleswig-Holstein is characterised by its proximity to the sea. Smoked fish is served particularly often on the Baltic coast. Eel, cod and trout from the rivers of the hinterland are prepared in various traditional restaurants and sometimes fried after the smoking process. Elsewhere, the delicacies are grilled and served with potatoes and kale. The latter is a typical accompaniment to Pinkel, Kassler and boiled sausage.

Holsteiner Katenschinken is produced in Dahme's butcher's shops using an elaborate smoking and curing process. The pork is ready to eat after around eight weeks. The weather in Dahme is particularly suitable for a holiday between the end of May and the end of September.
