The city of Verona once served the unforgotten lovers Romeo and Juliet as a stage for their romance. Even today, visitors can discover the witnesses of the unhappy affair as well as medieval buildings and imposing squares while city camping. Relaxation combined with sightseeing tours and hikes along olive groves, vineyards, orchards and romantic castles are not only a delight for Camping 50+ guests.

Special features of camping in Verona

Most of Verona's campsites are located outside the old city walls in the beautiful countryside of the south-west of the Veneto region, which is characterised by both water and mountains. However, there is also one site that is located in the countryside and yet close to the centre with its historic buildings and popular sights. Camping Castel San Pietro above the city is located in the immediate vicinity of the metropolis. On nearby Lake Garda there are other beautiful campsites with excellent prices when booking. These holiday villages and campsites in Veneto combine camping by the lake with proximity to the city centre. This combination elicits a positive response from most campers, which is reflected in the positive reviews on Pincamp. Verona is also suitable for camping for beginners. The distance, especially from the south of Germany, is not far, making it ideal for a first longer tour with a caravan or motorhome. If you are considering investing in camping equipment, you can travel to Verona by car and rent a caravan or mobile home on site.
