Luxembourg is characterised by a temperate climate typical of Central Europe. The Grand Duchy therefore generally benefits from warm summers. Although rainfall is to be expected all year round, the risk is much lower in June, July and August. The summer months are therefore the best time to visit. However, pleasant temperatures are also increasingly common from April to October, and it can get very hot between July and August. Temperatures can then be expected to rise to over 30 °C. On average, however, the thermometer stabilises at around 25 °C. The difference in temperature between day and night is clearly noticeable and can be as much as 12 °C in summer.
