A whole pearl necklace of beautiful accommodation invites you to 4-star camping on the Baltic Sea. Steep cliffs, dream beaches, dune landscapes and islands offer varied coastal panoramas and plenty of opportunities for a wide range of outdoor activities. With maritime seaside resorts, elegant Hanseatic towns, fishing villages, leisure parks, events and many other visitor attractions, there is plenty to experience and discover all around. For gourmets, a Baltic Sea holiday between Rügen sea buckthorn cake and Danish island beer is a culinary feast.
In addition to recreation and sport in the diverse coastal landscapes, the Baltic Sea harbours a whole treasure trove of leisure activities.
The Baltic Sea coast is dotted with adventure parks for family excursions. The Danish island of Funen is considered a fairytale island for children. Walking in the footsteps of Hans Christian Andersen, in the interactive railway museum or on a discovery tour through Egeskov Castle, fantasy and history merge into a family adventure. In the north of southern Denmark, the fabulous Legoland Billund awaits, while Germany's northernmost theme park, the Tolk Show, promises an entertaining visit with ride and play classics such as giant slides, a family rollercoaster, dinosaur park and petting zoo. If you are also looking for wild loops and wild water rides, Hansa-Park on the Bay of Lübeck is the place to be. Several Karl Adventure Villages are located between Lübeck and the German-Polish border; on Rügen, the Dinosaur Land and the Gingst Miniature and Adventure Park are also a delight.
An oyster safari on the Baltic Sea is not only a great thing for mussel gourmets, but also an exciting nature adventure for young explorers. Equipped with wellies and buckets, you can head out into the fascinating Wadden Sea during the mussel season; the tide times and good collection points on the German coast can be obtained from the Wadden Sea guides. In Denmark, for example in southern Jutland, there are various guided oyster safaris on offer, from mudflat walks lasting several hours to child-friendly excursions to the mussel beds near the coast. In the evening, it's oysters galore at the 4-star campsite on the Baltic Sea.
From connoisseurs to toddlers, everyone can spend exciting days on the Baltic Sea in the footsteps of history. For example, the Viking museum village of Haithabu between Kiel and Flensburg, the toy museum in Haderslev in southern Jutland or the Hangar 10 aviation adventure world on Usedom offer entertaining trips into the past. Baltic Sea cities such as Rostock, Lübeck, Flensburg and Kolping captivate visitors with historic buildings, proud old town districts, museums and theatres; Denmark's south enchants the eye and camera with castles and numerous elegant manor houses.
In addition to traditional folk festivals, the Baltic Sea coast is home to various world-class events. The maritime sailing regattas in particular are a favourite destination for campers.
