Mountain bikers love the hills and mountains around Lake Garda, hikers stroll through the idyllic landscape and water sports enthusiasts enjoy themselves daily on the expansive lake. The little ones play on the beach or take part in the entertainment programme and the adults enjoy the wellness facilities at the campsite or admire the sights while the children are looked after on site.
The Internazionale La Quercia campsite is located in Lazise in the south-east of Lake Garda and offers a wide range of leisure activities. Sports enthusiasts in particular have a wide choice with a fitness centre, sports field, mini golf course and tennis courts. There are also plenty of swimming opportunities: The campsite is located directly on Lake Garda with a long and wide sandy beach and there are also three pools. Entertainment is provided by the entertainers, who not only organise sports tournaments and games, but also put on musical shows.
At the 5-star Camping Internazionale La Quercia, families in particular can enjoy many amenities. For children, there is a particularly well-equipped playground, two washrooms specially designed for the little ones, as well as a heated pool and slide. Connoisseurs like to make frequent use of the wellness centre. Catering is provided by two restaurants, one of which boasts a spectacular view of the lake.
Another 5-star campsite by the beach on Lake Garda is Piani di Clodia, which is located in a wonderful nature park. In addition to a pebble and sandy beach, there are two water parks with a total of seven swimming pools, a particularly large number of slides, current channels, waterfalls, water games for children and a whirlpool for adults. For leisure activities, there is an on-site agility course for dogs, a themed mini golf course for young and old and a fantasy village park and mini club for the little ones.
When camping on the beach at Lake Garda, there are outstanding things to experience: countless water sports, hiking and cycling in the beautiful countryside, cultural excursions and, of course, relaxing in the sun on the shores of the clear water.
Have you ever heard of flyboarding? You fly over the waters of Lake Garda thanks to special footwear that sprays out two high-pressure water jets. Great fun and sensational impressions are guaranteed. The above-mentioned water sports operator Gardawake also has this crazy activity up its sleeve.
There are several islands on Lake Garda and the largest of these, Isola del Garda, is home to a botanical park and dreamlike villa in neo-Gothic Venetian style. Long before the villa was built, the small island was inhabited by the Romans and is now privately owned by the family of the Counts Cavazza, who reside here and offer guided tours for visitors. With its breathtaking villa, idyllic nature, English and Italian gardens and a particularly rich history, this island is definitely an attraction on Lake Garda.
The Castello di Sabbionara d'Avio is ideal for a day trip away from the campsite on the beach at Lake Garda. This medieval fortress is located between wooded gorges above the small town of Avio. Here you can admire a wonderful castle garden with olive trees and well-preserved frescoes from the 14th century. Of course, there is a lot of interesting history behind the walls: for example, criminals were hanged from one of the towers and put on display for the entire public to see.
Through the Grotte di Catullo, you can immerse yourself in Roman times and retrace the main features of the manor house. This attraction is located at the tip of the Sirmione headland. But even just a leisurely stroll around the small town on Lake Garda impresses holidaymakers with its extraordinary location, from which you have a fantastic view of the wide lake and the beautiful shores.
Lake Garda not only has fantastic nature, great campsites and spectacular activities to offer, but also a variety of events.
