Excursions into the city or swimming in one of the lakes are the attractions of camping in the Franconian Lake District. The marvellous climate of the Bavarian region makes staying outdoors particularly pleasant and the air gives you new energy. The Franconian Lake District has a transitional climate with average temperatures of minus 1.4 degrees Celsius in January and 19 degrees Celsius in August. This summer month can reach peak temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius. The amount of rainfall is low, making a stay in summer ideal for a swimming holiday. With water temperatures of around 26 degrees Celsius in summer, all five lakes are ideally equipped for bathers. Water sports enthusiasts also have the opportunity to discover this small natural paradise by cycling and hiking.
