Located around 45 km south of Thessaloniki, Camping Aigeas is one of the greenest campsites in Greece with its lush vegetation. With direct access to the coast, it is an ideal place for a relaxing beach holiday. The ample amenities and child-friendly activities make for a comfortable holiday for two or with the whole family.
The 10,000 square metre site of Camping Aigeas belongs to the small coastal village of Nea Kallikratia. The spaciousness of the campsite ensures a high degree of tranquillity, which, in addition to comfort and the maritime ambience, characterises Camping Aigeas. Many trees provide plenty of shade on the site, where pets are also allowed. The site borders directly on a fine sandy beach, which has a volleyball court, sun loungers and parasols. The water is shallow and therefore ideal for children to splash around in. Alternatively, guests can cool off in the swimming pool surrounded by palm trees in the garden area. The area is equipped with sun loungers, parasols and a bar and is supervised by a lifeguard. Holidaymakers can enjoy various drinks and snacks at the pool bar throughout the day. A restaurant serves fresh regional dishes at lunchtime and in the evening. Snacks, fresh bread and drinks can also be purchased at the mini-market. The pitches at Camping Aigeas are equipped with electricity as standard. There is also free Wi-Fi and a separate play area with a bouncy castle for children.
The Halkidiki region is known for its kilometres of sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea. In addition to the beach belonging to the campsite, it is also worth visiting Dionisiou beach, about 26 kilometres away. The bay is sheltered and the water is shallow, making this stretch of coastline ideal for small children. The ruins of the historic city of Olynthos are around 31 kilometres from the campsite. Walls from the 5th century BC of the ancient city have been excavated there. A day trip to Thessaloniki, the largest city in the area, is also recommended. The metropolis impresses with its old buildings and cultural institutions such as the white tower built in the 15th century or the archaeological museum. The cityscape is characterised by many old churches, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
