Camping in Flevoland

Tours can be undertaken on the Zwarte Meer, for example. The Oostvaardersplassen to the south-west of Lelystad is a great place to go horse riding.

Most holidaymakers come to camp in Flevoland between June and August. This is when the outdoor temperatures are particularly pleasant, averaging between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius. The water warms up to 19 degrees Celsius. In midsummer, people like to swim in the Markermeer and IJsselmeer lakes.

Many water sports enthusiasts also use the low season for their hobby. Even in April and May, September and October, the conditions are ideal for taking to the water with a surfboard, kite or sailing boat. Temperatures in spring and autumn are between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius. The lowest rainfall can be expected from March to June.
