In the middle of the Thuringian Forest and yet conveniently located, Naturcamp Meyersgrund enchants with its views of wooded mountain ranges. The meadow area surrounded by fir trees and trees is not only the ideal starting point for hikes, mountain bike and canoe tours, but is also perfect for cosy evenings around the campfire.
Hidden behind tall fir trees in the Thuringian Forest lies a small oasis of peace and tranquillity: Naturcamp Meyersgrund. This idyllic spot attracts motorhome and caravan drivers who want to spend their holiday in the middle of this natural paradise. Although the campsite is located in a 7-hectare clearing, getting here is not a problem as the site can be reached quickly and easily via a busy road nearby. A total of 80 pitches with plenty of privacy and several wooden bungalows are available for overnight stays. The leisure facilities are tailored to the natural surroundings and include a children's playground, a meadow to let off steam and archery. In summer, the campsite is an excellent starting point for the popular Rennsteig hiking trail or the Ilm cycle path. In the cold season, the Naturcamp Meyersgrund, which is open all year round, attracts winter sports enthusiasts. In the white season, the proximity to the road proves to be another plus, as the region can experience heavy snowfall and icy conditions. A ski bus runs regularly between the campsite and the ski lifts and the nearest cross-country ski trail is not far away either.
