Located on the northern shore of the deep blue Refsvatnet lake, the Hikers' Camp in Jørpeland offers a wide range of water-based activities. Travellers can splash around in the cool water or hire water sports equipment such as SUPs and kayaks. The campsite also organises fishing trips. The Hikers' Camp is located in the Preikestolen BaseCamp about 9 kilometres south-east of Jørpeland. Here, camping fans will find a restaurant and a floating sauna. The surroundings of the holiday complex are characterised by the typical mountain and fjord landscape of the Rogaland region in southern Norway. A popular excursion destination nearby is the Preikestolen viewing rock, which is over 600 metres high. Guests also enjoy boat trips in the Lysefjord, 25 kilometres from Jørpeland. Rushing waterfalls pour down from its steep rock faces.
